Round Vs Teardrop Implants

breast implant shapes round vs teardrop

When it comes to getting breast implants, it’s important to know that there are pros and cons for both round and teardrop implants. Both of these breast shapes can give a natural-looking result. They are available in a wide variety of sizes and shapes, making them an excellent choice for women wanting larger breasts. The main factor that should determine which type of implant you will choose is the shape. You should also take into account the shape of your natural breasts so that you can choose a breast implant that feels as natural as possible. There are two types of breast implants.

Round Implants

Round implants have a more circular shape and are the most popular type of implant. It’s best suited to women wanting more upper pole fullness and cleavage from their implants. They give a more defined shape to the upper breast and are available with more options for the projection. It’s best suited for women with tuberous breasts as it can expand the breast tissue and give a more ‘full’ and symmetrical appearance. Round breast implants are available in a variety of sizes and can be placed above or below the muscle. They are suited to someone seeking more of a fake look, although it is possible to achieve a natural-looking result too.

Teardrop Implants

Teardrop implants, also known as anatomical implants, have a tear-drop shape. These implants are designed to mimic the shape of a natural breast. These implants come in various sizes and give your breasts a more natural look with less fullness above the nipple and a more natural feel. They also can help to lift the nipples slightly. Of both shapes, teardrop implants appear the most natural. Due to teardrop impacts mimicking the shape of a natural breast, they are priced higher than round implants.

Round or Teardrop!

Both round and teardrop implants are great options for women who have little or no natural breast tissue. They are also good for anyone wanting to have larger breasts. Both these shapes can be modified to suit your specific needs. As there are many options for breast implants, it’s important to speak with your surgeon and ask about all of your options before choosing which one to get.
